Chernihiv is one of Ukraine's oldest cities — a place of ancient churches and deep Polissia roots, where embroidery traditions have been preserved across centuries. The region is known for its refined white-on-white technique, but its most visually striking pieces use red, black, and white together: strong contrast, rhythmic geometric compositions, patterns that feel both ancient and precise.

This patch works in that color tradition. Red, black, and white — the balance and structure that define Chernihiv embroidery, rebuilt in my own graphic language. The city's name is embedded in the geometry.
