Matthew Cuffed Beanie

Here's something most people don't know: in traditional Ukrainian embroidery, patterns weren't copied. Women designed them from scratch, for specific people, with symbols chosen just for them. A shirt was a talisman. Personal. Irreplaceable.

That's what I had in mind with this one.

I took the letters of Matthew and turned them into a geometric embroidery pattern — the same way Ukrainian ornamental designs have always been built, from a center point outward. It looks like a decorative motif. Look closer and the name is right there, hidden in the geometry.

No other name makes this pattern. Only Matthew.

The embroidery wraps around the front of the cuff — small enough to read as pure texture from a distance, the name only revealing itself up close. One size, fits most.
