Odesa's region is the largest wine-growing area in Ukraine. Grapes climb the buildings, the courtyards, the balconies — heavy with fruit you can pick and eat right where you stand. They show up in the embroidery tradition there for exactly that reason: they're everywhere, woven into the visual life of the city. This design is a graphic interpretation of that imagery. Not a reproduction of a historical embroidery — something more personal. A pattern that means home.

The embroidered design on one side of this tote is the same one used on the matching embroidered patch and on the chest of the City's apparel — same size, same embroidery technique, roughly a 4×4 inch piece of real threadwork stitched directly onto the canvas. Not a print, not a graphic. Embroidery.

On the reverse, the New Vyshyvanka logo — embroidered at the same size as the city design on the front, in white thread with the red pattern icon. Both sides carry real embroidery. Both sides say something.
