Rivne sits deep in Polissia — the forested wetlands of northwestern Ukraine, a region that preserved some of the country's oldest embroidery traditions precisely because of its isolation. The patterns here echo the look of ancient woven textiles: repetitive geometric forms, rhythmic and almost hypnotic, rooted in a visual language that predates written history.

This patch is my graphic interpretation of that tradition — red and white, clean geometry, a design that feels both ancient and completely contemporary. The name of the city is worked into the pattern.
